Fearless! Cheating Death Nightly by Aaron Crow

I was wonder why I must be blind folded when I just wanna watch a magic show at Arena of Genting last weekend. Honestly, I felt anxious if I would fall down walking from the entrance to the stage with a few staircases to climb before sitting down on my seat.

Gosh.....everyone also being blindfolded...guess something interesting later? I was thinking if we would all suddenly being brought to the stage and became one of the guest entertainer. Nevertheless, we were safely seated before the show started. I guessed the staffs wanted us to feel the experience when one can not see. I just got to know it was related to one of the Aaron Crow's blindfolded act which he performed later.

“Fearless! Cheating Death Nightly” is one of a kind show that one must watch at Resorts World Genting. With his fusion of magic, suspense, risky stunts and mystery, Aaron is able to capture the attention of a crowd without uttering a single word. From there, he earned the nickname "The Silent Mentalist."

The Belgium born, silent mentalist has impressed even the likes of Simon Cowell, and won second place under Mental Magic at the World Championships of Magic, the largest competition of its kind that is held every three years. There, he battled against 150 other world renowned acts in front of a crowd of 2,500 people.

Crow's official website states: "At the age of three, Aaron was rushed to hospital with a needle stuck in his throat. It was a frightening experience, although luckily he made a complete recovery. But it was his encounter with a mouse that crawled on his back while he was in bed when he was five that first inspired him—it made him think about fears and how people overcome them.

“Fearless! Cheating Death Nightly” features a positive theme—facing and overcoming our fears. Aaron sees himself as a “warrior with a mission.” “We can all overcome our fears, we can all become stronger. The time is now; a new year, a new you, a fearless you,” he says.

At my own seat, I could see him ate the needle and lastly threading the needle out from his mouth. I was sweat watching his terrifying brilliant presentation.

Following after the needle eating, he soon poured the hot candle wax over his eyes. I was like :O ouch....I felt the pain instead. He covered his face with bandages, black tape and foil. He then used a Knife to slice the bag, nunchucks to break the board, and a Katana to slice the pineapple in two – all without injuring any of his volunteers. (check my 3 mins video recorded)

This popular act is proudly known as “Supravision,” possibly the most spectacular blindfold act in the world. Highly original and authentic, his routines are performed in silence with the exception of some spine-tingling eerie music in the background.

For better resolution, you can watch the second video. Both are same. Quality for second video can be changed to 720p60 HD.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask

When we start aging, the first thing we worry about is the wrinkles on face! Aging is a natural process that we can't get rid, but what we can do is to slow it down. Applying mask on face is one of the way besides healthy lifestyle, do exercise, healthy eating and enough good sleep at night. This time, I'm going to share my experience of using Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask made in Korea, a country well known for its beauty industry.

I got Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask from Natta Cosme website. I was a bit disappointed with Pos Laju service they use as they never deliver to our house and asking us travel to their office to pick the parcel up. It was quite a long queue that day.

Nevertheless, it was packed nicely and giving fresh flowers scent the moment unpack the box.

Look at my tired exhausted face of not having enough sleep the night before! Seriously makeup can not cover up my dark eye circle and eye bag :S

I applied Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask to see if the mask efficient to "save" my face from the awful condition.

I always like to read and have a look at the label or packaging of product before I use. I'm so surprise there are 13 different extracts incorporated into the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask.

Ingredients:Water, Sodium hyaluronate, Butylene glycol, Peg-60 hydrogenated castor oil, Dimethyl sulfone, Betaine, Natto gum, Disodium edta, Centella asiatica extract, Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl acetate, Panthenol, Luffa cylindrica fruit/leaf/stem extract, Althaea rosea flower extract, Aloe barbadensis leaf extract, Fragrance, Portulaca oleracea extract, Lysine hcl, Proline, Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, Acetyl methionine, Theanine, Apium graveolens (celery) extract, Brassica oleracea capitata (cabbage) leaf extract, Brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, Brassica rapa (turnip) leaf extract, Daucus carota sativa (carrot) root extract, Oryza sativa (rice) bran extract, Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) fruit/leaf/stem extract

The essence at the mask is so concentrated and does not so "running" like the usual mask I use.

It is made with 100% pure organic cotton mask which minimize irritation and adhere better to our face!

great adhesion to my face

The 100% pure cotton mask also allows direct delivery of soothing essence to the skin.

I am truly impress with the result after using it. Look at the dark eye circle before (make up) and after (without make up), the effect is evident! My dark eye circle is less obvious! My face brightened, plumped and moisturized with just 1 use. That's the immediate effect of the mask after 20 minutes :D You guys can give it a try yeah, it is safe and gentle to our skin too!

Klong Hae Floating Market at Hat Yai

When I told my friends I'm going to Thailand, Hat Yai, everyone seems disinterest with this place. Most of them visited this place previously and this was my first visit. Some of them even told me to go Phuket or Bangkok a better place for shopping. Nevertheless, these 2 places are bit far from Malaysia and more convenient with airplane than road trip. Hat Yai indeed is a bit country side and not so developed like Bangkok the capital city. But the best thing is we can always find some sumptuous local Thai food on the street and a good place to shop too.

I will share more about shopping experience in Hat Yai in next post. This time I'm going to write about the floating market in Hat Yai. Based on the map i got, Hat Yai is at the northern part of the Lee Garden Plaza which is impossible to go with a walk. Therefore, we have to hire a private charter(包车) tuk tuk, the main transport mode from one place to another at Thailand. Tuk tuk is like a small van and functions like a taxi but without air-conditioner. They don't have the meter. We have to bargain with the driver to bring us there.

The driver offered us 600 baht to go Klong Hae Floating Market, but my friend bargained (in Hokkien) until we got 500 baht plus going to Big C shopping mall on the way back. It would be better if go with 2 more friends so that you can share the cost, and much cheaper per person. We could not find 2 more persons/strangers who going there at that time, thus we both going there in a tuk-tuk.

We saw some vintage buildings on the way to the market. We seldom see any taxi on the street. I was told previously by my friends who visited this place before that the tuk-tuk driver would promote about "Thai Girl Show" but it did not happen when we were there. But hey sorry, I will not pay that money to watch such show xoxo

Hat Yai is a small town. Even though it is quite near to Perlis and Kedah, Malaysia, but it does not as developed as in West Malaysia. I saw the same thing in Sabah, East Malaysia last year. The petrol station here is operated by a Thai outside their house.

Finally we reached Klong Hae Floating Market. A bit of the eye sore of this place is the dogs' dung everywhere at the ground opposite the floating market. I had to walk carefully as not to step on it...yeee

One of the must buy here is the coconut drink comes with the cute clay cup. It was 30 baht in total. We can bring the cup home afterall as a souvenir.

Variety of food and drink selling on the boat. It made me crazy of choosing what to eat at that time as I was spoiled with lots of choices.

Most of the food here are cooked on the spot. Once the food is done, they will place in the bamboo basket, hand it to you and next we put the money there. That's such a creative way to solve the problem of not having a long enough hand to reach for the food and money.

There are a lot of stalls selling not only food but clothes, shoes and souvenir next to the floating market. Some of the food here is very local and I never heard of it such as Luk Chup. I must say they are so cute and just resembles the items for the shape and colour to be so alike.

Luk Chup is actually fruit shape dessert made up mung beans. It was a dessert made for King of Siam in old days. I did not try it perhaps next time.

But my friend bought the grilled scallops from this stall.

35 baht per dish

Another Thai dish by local Thai woman at one of the stall.

I must say 1 hour here is too short for me. But what to do? We only allow to spend 1 hour as we bargained with the tuk tuk driver. Next, we headed to Big C shopping mall.

The sky is getting dark as we on our way back to find the tuk tuk driver. We cant simply ride on any tuk tuk there as it was already hired by other people heading to this place. I guess it would be cheaper ( no need to hire private charter tuk tuk) if we can easily catch the tuk tuk here. Well, till here my sharing about this place. Stay for more and Happy Chinese New Year!

Changbeer makes our moments memorable!

In a land where everyone is a friend,
Where togetherness is a way of life,
Where everything is made to be shared,
A beer definitely a must on a table during the festival.
I believe Chang beer able to bring people together
Turn moments into memories
And build lifelong bonds

Chang (Thai: ช้าง) is the Thai word for elephant, an animal with cultural and historical significance in ThailandTake a look at the packaging. The logo at the label features two elephants facing each other.

The new green Chang bottles look more classic, elegant, better contour and good hand feel. The new bottle also makes one looks classy too.

The fresh taste of Chang Beer’s unique golden brew is created through a time honoured brewing process and a selection of the finest ingredients the world has to offer – from the deep-water wells of Thailand to the finest yeast and hops the rest of the world has to offer.

Chang Beer has a pleasant full flavour, with a subtle fruit and hop aroma, delivering a natural easy-to-drink brew. The barley specially selected for Chang has a low level of protein, to give the lager its bright, golden clarity.

Extracted from over 200 metres below the ground in Thailand, our deep-water wells provide drinker with a soft water that is not only low in mineral content but completely free of contaminants.

Their malted barley is imported from the finest fields throughout Europe and the USA depending on the quality of the harvest. It is this very specific selection process that gives Chang its full-bodied flavor and light golden appearance.

The micro-organism responsible for fermenting the beer, the yeast used in Chang Beer has been carefully chosen for its smoky, herby and fruity aromas.

Hops are flowers of a perennial vine that add flavour to the beer and balance the sweetness of the malt. The best quality European and American hops are used in Chang, and lend the brew its bitter, floral and citrus notes.

It is more fun with Chang beer when dining out with friends. It makes our topic of conversation less stressful. It is especially true when you need to distress and let out all the steam to your friend- which I do it occasionally. Look, my friend seems to be very satisfied with his drink!

I would love to choose Chang beer as our occasional drink during the bonding time with friends and family. #Changbeer makes our moments memorable.
