Living in the Clouds @ Setia Sky 88, Johor Bahru

If you travel to JB with 3-5 friends, homestay will be a better choice for you guys in term of the costing. Well, today I'm gonna share a homestay where I spent for 2 nights over during my previous visit to JB. My actual destination that time was Batam, a small island belongs to Indonesia, located south of Singapore. Some of my friends does not even know where Batam is until now :D I will share the story how to get there in future when I have time. Let's talk about my JB homestay - Setia Sky 88. It is a brand new condominium said the second tallest in the Johor state. It is proposed to have 88 floors but did not get approval from the state. If I'm not mistaken, there is 44 storeys for the block I was staying (total 3 blocks there).

For me, the occupancy rate was not high as I observed. The place was quiet when visiting. There are security guard at the main entrance and the lobby counter. Since we need access card to enter, it is considered safe and well guarded. You only could access your floor and certain floors where facilities located with your house access card.

The living room looks warm and simple with the deco. Overall, the place is clean. There are sofa, TV, coffee table, dining table, fridge, kettle and etc.

You can do your laundry here too. But since I am not adapted to use such kind of washing machine, it's bit troublesome for me. The washing time for this machine takes longer than usual. You could try it if you have a lot to wash during the stay.

The bedrooms and living room are equipped with air con and fans. There are 2 bathrooms available.

The master room is spacious with wood flooring. The bed frame offers a dreamy/ princess look.  At one side, there is a wardrobe to store your clothes and luggage. Only one thing I don't like is lack of privacy there when my room is facing others' rooms which people at the opposite side could easily see you if you did not close your curtain. And I have few times forgotten to close it. LOL

This is another room in our unit. Personally I like the pattern of the bed sheet. I like this room more honestly. There are towels provided in the rooms.

It was quite late when we reached JB. The sky started to turn dark. I was planning to take a dip but end up did not. I was tired after the bus journey.

Whatever you want (to do), all are here! Swimming pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, karaoke, billiards, wine lounge, table football and etc. The only thing does not have here is the convenient shop.

Wine lounge and billiards

From the wine lounge room, we could spot another swimming pool downstairs. And the nice building not far from here is the tallest in Johor - Astaka Tower.

All the facilities are free to use for the residents and guests. You would need to book the facility earlier with the security guard.

The view from my room. We could merely spot the river connecting with Singapore. Setia Sky 88 is within 10 minutes to Stulang Laut Ferry Terminal (SLFT). So Setia Sky 88 is the great choice to stay a night if you planning to go Singapore/ Batam the next day through SLFT.
