What is the meaning of "Ploy"? After referring to dictionary, finally I found the meaning, it means 'tactic'. It is possibly the boss wants the restaurant turns out to be a business meeting area to discuss about tactics for marketing and business development.

I never been to Ploy, but read about it from other bloggers' posts. This time I was invited to give their 2013 special new menu a try, it was a blessing and bliss for me!
Ploy is a Japanese-Thai inspiring restaurant. Japanese cuisine with Thai flavor while Thai cuisine with Japanese flavor, the combination is very special, lets see what I had for that day!
A shelf full and filled with wine, there are so many!
|GOLDEN NEEDLE SALAD RM15.00|
This is my first time trying salad with tofu, broccoli and dried lily buds inside. Tofu with Avocado rich in monounsaturated fat, gives the dish a rich creamy flavour added with Wafu Dressing, appears very appetizing yet healthy!
|TUNA WAKAME SALAD RM23.00|
The second dish is also a salad added in avocado. Previous dish is all vege, this round we have Tuna Cube instead, together with Sesame Shoyu Dressing.
|TEMPURA SURPRISE RM15.00|
I always saw Seabass in restaurant menu. However, seabass in tempura is my first time trying such dish. Seabass wrapped in Oba Leaf was fried until golden brown colour which is very attracting. For the taste, it does not give me any surprise.
KABOCHA TEMPURA RM8.50
除了海水鲈鱼天妇罗，新的菜单里面还有炸咸蛋南瓜天妇罗。没吃过对吧？它没有海鲜，也没有肉在里面，但也不是全素，因为它有咸蛋。KABOCHA TEMPURA 有咸蛋的咸味，南瓜的甜味。。。这味道，当时的我只可以以“特别”，“脆口”以及“好吃”来形容。
Besides Seabass Tempura, there is also Salted Egg Pumpkin Tempura. Never try before? It has no seafood, no meat inside, but it is not counted as vege diet, as there is salted egg. KABOCHA TEMPURA has salty taste from salted egg, sweetness from pumpkin....which I can only describe with the words "special”, “crispy”and “delicious”.

CRAB IN A WRAP 我第一个反应就是WOW!这就是它们所说的日泰结合的料理，里面的材料有我非常喜欢吃的软壳蟹，被日本米饭包裹着，上面还放了芒果，奶油果以及鱼蛋。不止卖相非常吸引人，看了会让人垂涎三尺，就如那铺在寿司上的酱汁一样，味道也非常棒！哦，忘了说为何有日泰的结合？寿司是源自日本，里面的材料却创新地加入了泰式咖哩，让这寿司吃起来的味道很独特。除此以外，我还吃到少许茶味，这几种的混搭似乎都不太搭，可却很意外的成为我在这次试吃那么多里面的最爱。来这必尝哦！
The first time when I saw CRAB IN A WRAP, it surprises me and I give it a "WOW"! Soft Shell Crab wrapped with Mango, Avocado with Spicy Kani is a Japanese-Thai combined dish. Not only it looks interesting, which induce my saliva production, the taste is nice too! Well, why I said it is a Japan-Thai combination? This is because sushi is originated from Japan, while they added Thai style curry in it, creates an unique flavour. Besides, I tasted tea flavour in sushi. It looks like all ingredients do not complement each other, but it becomes my favourite of all. Must try when you dine here！

来个不怎么像是日式的料理- Magic Puff, 为何叫魔术泡芙呢？其实我吃完后也不大了解，吃到里面是空空的，材料全铺在表面就如图片所示。除了很明显可以看到有樱桃番茄外，厨师还加上了山羊奶酪，松露油以及野生火箭菜，让原本单调的味道增添了点特色。老实说，对我而言，这道料理似乎有点儿贵，用面粉做的泡芙，上面只有蔬菜和少许的山羊奶酪，八零吉一个，不知道你们的看法如何？
Next, we had magic puff which does not look like Japanese cuisine. Why being called Magic Puff? After finished the whole thing, I also not too sure about it. It is hollow or empty inside the puff. Magic puff is Homemade Crispy Pastry with Goat Cheese, Truffle Oil and Wild Rocket on top to enhance the flavour which you can see directly from the picture. Frankly speaking, the dish is little bit costly with the puff made of flour covered with a vegetable leaf and little bit of goat cheese, RM8 per piece, what do you think?
|SMOKED DUCK BREAST WITH CHICKEN HAM PIZZA RM28.00|
Then the next dish is pizza made of SMOKED DUCK BREAST WITH CHICKEN HAM. We notice that Ducks and Chicken do get along especially on their Ployzas. Is this a Japanese style or Thai style? I think this is Western style. This pizza is very flimsy compared to those we purchased from pizza franchising shop. The surface of the pizza is made of flour, toasted until crispy but it is well done without the sign of scorched. The first impression comes to every one mind is that the green colour appears in the dish is WASABI, but this is wrong sometimes. The greenish paste on top of the pizza is avocado and not wasabi. Avocado becomes the 'main character' in almost every dish that served in Ploy as I see them often in the dishes served. Saltiness from smoked duck breast and chicken ham is well balanced and equalized by the sweetness from the paste, the taste coordinate well among each other!
|PASTA FROM HEAVEN RM28.00|
Pasta from heaven, it is a very nice name to be called. Coincidentally they using Sakura Ebi Angel Hair to make the dish. The thinning pasta is very springy, while the shrimp is being fried until very crispy.If you don't like carbonara or marinara sauce, you may try this as it cooked with Truffle Oil, who knows you may fall in love with the flavour!
|THE GODFATHER SPECIAL RM22.00|
This is one of my favourite among all the dishes. Salmon Don with Ikura, Avocado, Royu and Nori in Tempura Flakes is simply mouth watering. Putting first spoon into the mouth, the aroma is all over every corners of the mouth, can't help but come back for the second port. Must try this when you come dining here!
餐单里面怎么可以少得了甜点呢？不过以下这几道不是它们2013的新菜单里面的料理，而是厨师特地为我们而献上的甜品。我的最爱莫过于Raja Kunyit, 厨师说这是用本地的猫山王榴莲所准备，喜欢榴莲的我，这道甜品简直是一级棒哦！
How could one miss a dessert after main course? The next three dishes are not from their 2013 special new menu. These are somewhat courtesy from their chefs. My favourite among all is Raja Kunyit made of durian from Musang King species. I'm durian lover, the dessert is great for me!

留意下图片》Sticky dates 的摆盘好特别呢！巧克力色的酱汁上还有白色漂浮的心形状，很是特别，也看得出甜品师傅很有心思。不过味道方面个人认为好甜哦！
Look carefully at the picture> Decoration for the Sticky Dates is very interesting! There are white colour love shape liquid floating at the top of brownish colour paste, makes it very special at first look. I can see that the chef is very thoughtful and creative, nevertheless the dessert is too sweet for me!

Cream Caramel 似乎好多地方都可以看见，很普通的一道甜品。之所以这原因，个人觉得不怎么有特色，也没有什么意见。
Cream caramel is often seen every where, a common dessert at the restaurant. For this reason, I can't find any special for it and nothing to comment about.
