A stay at Ibis Styles Sandakan Waterfront Hotel

Huhu that's a long time since I stopped to write about Sandakan after Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, Myne Resort and  Kenalanmu Restaurant. This time I would share a little bit about the hotel I stayed in Sandakan town. Sandakan town is a very small town, that's my first impression when I been there. The only shopping mall there is Sandakan Harbour Mall. Thus, I would like to say outskirts of Sandakan is far more exciting. Sandakan town might be a day of transit for you before you moving to nearby attractions.

The elegant Ibis Styles Sandakan Waterfront Hotel offers air-conditioned room facing ocean or street view. Initially I was offered with the ocean view room but in the end I was being change to another room facing street :(

There is a small table which enough to place your laptop or having some read.

They don't have 8tv if not mistaken. Only few local channels available.

 coffee making facility and fridge

It is bit noisy at night when the shop closing. I did not sleep well that night with the chair pulling noise and voices.

Breakfast is served in the breakfast room each morning. At the outdoor restaurant guests can enjoy Swiss cuisine.

Ibis Styles Sandakan Waterfront Hotel overlooks a harbour and provides quick access to a local beach.

The next morning before our departure, we went up to Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan to take some pictures. The infinity swimming pool looks cool :)

Ibis Styles Sandakan Waterfront Hotel is down there.

I miss all of them. Wish I could visit Sabah again :)

  3. I love your post. :)

It brings back a lot of good memories for me. I lived in Sabah for 3 years so it was nice to see places like Sandakan again, although I spent more time in KK. It has changed a lot, Sandakan used to be a sleepy little town.
