SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland

The last time I went into SnowWorld was in 2012 with Nuffnang bloggers. It has been 3 years plus I never get in since then. In conjunction with Genting International Children's Festival, SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland which is organized from 12 March to 8 May 2016 offers loads of eggs-tra fun activities at here.

It is almost 40 degree Celcius in KL city and it is so hot like the skin getting burn for just standing 5 minutes under the sun! When you are given chance to enter somewhere cold (as stated like -4 degree Celcius), you could not wait anymore for such breakaway from the "big oven"!

Nothing changes so much inside here! Just imagine myself staying in a snowing country.

Well, walking into the SnowWorld which is like a giant freezer, my face turned red when the cold air blew through my body.

It's Easter tomorrow! Happy Easter Day everyone!

During the Easter weekend namely March 25 to 27 on these times 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, get ready to create wonderful memories when participating in the SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland series of eggs-citing activities and adventures.

A lot of eggs are placed at the key photo spots; offering visitors great photo opportunities as they laugh and enjoy in the wintry atsmosphere.

Having fun while playing with the fake snow :S

Many eggs-citing fun activities including arts and crafts are in store. Kids are welcomed to join the Egg-venture Hunt to search for the hidden “eggs” or test their skills at Eggs Rolling for a unique experience! The Food Factory, Genting Highlands

I have been to Genting Highlands for many times but I never know about The Food Factory. I don't even know there is one cafe offering buffet spread under First World Hotel. Perhaps the place is bit hidden :S I heard that The Food Factory has been refurbished recently and re branded to the current one. With the open kitchen concept, just like the Coffee Terrace, all guests definitely will be thrilled to watch the chefs at work.

This brand new cafe located at 3rd floor of First World Plaza, covers 23569 square feet, equipped with some heavy duty kitchen gadgets. To ensure everything served fresh and fast, they have a few giant machine such as the pancake machine, pizza conveyer machine -both from US- and noodle making machine from Hong Kong. That is where the cafe gets its name- The Food Factory.

The chef says the machines make it possible to serve up to 2,000 people at one time. The pancake machine, for instance, can make up to 200 pieces of pancakes in approximately 30 minutes. Using the machine saves time and energy. More interesting fun facts: Making pancakes for 2,000 people requires 7.2 kg of flour, 13 eggs and 7.2 liter of milk!

The special feature at The Food Factory during these school holidays: High Tea buffet from March 12 to 20, and on March 26 and 27, 1pm to 5pm. The High Tea offers great food at just RM10 nett for children between five and 11 years old, and RM38 nett for adults.

The High Tea buffet offers great variety, with food presented on separate counters—Western, East Asian, West Asian, Pizza, local delights and drinks.

The Western Counter is laden with various delicious dishes—from seafood platter to assorted salads with condiments, and main dishes that include Roast Rosemary Chicken with Potatoes and Vegetables, Roasted Chicken Roll, Chicken and Lamb Sharwama, Beef and Chicken Burger, Sautéed Pasta with Cream Carbonara Sauce or Bolognaise, Sautéed Spanish Sausages and Sautéed Lamb Ball with Hot Sauce, Breaded. Guests can choose from different soups including Cream of Mushroom and Chicken Soup.

The Chinese or East Asian Counter offers sumptuous local favourites such as Fish Ball Noodle Soup, Curry Noodle Soup, Fried Carrot with XO Sauce, Grilled or Deep-fried Yam Roll, Deep-fried Cheese Roll, Chee Cheong Fun, Fried Loh See Fun, Fried Yee Mee, and Dim Sum.

As for the Fried Noodles recipe in The Food Factory, a total of 88 kg of boiled noodles, 10 kg of chicken slices, 16 kg of prawns, 150 eggs, 16 kg of Chinese cabbage, 10 kg of carrot Julliane, 5 kg of mushroom slices and 20 kg of beansprouts are needed to serve 2,000 people each day.

If it’s Asian food you prefer, visit the West Asian Counter where there is a wide variety of 2 local cuisines such as Malay and Nyonya Kuih, Nasi Lemak with condiments, Roti Jala, Potatoes Samosa, Vegetables Pakoras, Tandoori Chicken, Fish Head Curry, Ayam Masak Merah, Chicken and Lamb Skewer.

For light snackers, there are finger foods such as Margherita Pizza, Chicken Ham Pizza, Toasted Bread with Kaya and Butter, Fried Banana and Sweet Potatoes.

My cousin said she had not tried any cotton candy for a long time. Thus I took for her at the counter. Hot from machine! But bit pity to the chef who made it with half-closed eyes as worried the sugar would blown to his eyes! Suddenly I thought of getting him a goggle.

The ice cream counter is pretty exciting too with 8 different flavours to choose! I took a scoop for every different flavour!

Guests at The Food Factory would no doubt enjoy watching the chefs in action as much as they enjoy the food!

Make-UP workshop with PUPA International Make up Artist

For Chinese, there is a saying goes by: No ugly women in this world but lazy women. Could you guess its meaning? We believe every woman is beautiful and of course we need time to take care of it, thus we cannot be lazy. While beauty lies in every woman, we need help to let it shine out.

Beauty is in every woman. Beauty is for every woman.

Recently, I came across a brand known as Pupa. What Pupa? That’s my first thought of it. I was thinking about the insect which undergoing transformation during a certain life stage. But for certain, I’m not talking about the pupa insect, Pupa is a famous beauty brand in Italian cosmetic industry. Pupa was found by Angelo Gatti in 1974 in Milan, capital city of fashion and design in Italy. Always fascinated by beauty, he came up with the make-up kit tobring color, make-up, fashion and magic together. The company quickly became a leader in the Italian cosmetic industry with the brand name Pupa. Make-up kits became its unmistakable signature all over the globe.

I was recently invited for Pupa make up demonstration workshop in SaSa, IOI City Mall. The reception table was beautifully decorated with flowers with purple, pink, red, orange colour theme which at one glance I might mistakenly thought that I was attending wedding banquet. Nevertheless, the colour theme which represent Pupa gave me the first impression of feminine and lovely.

This was my first time seeing a vanity table in SaSa for customers to sit down and try their products.

This time Pupa brought in their limited edition – Dot Shock for all Malaysian. Any polka dot fans here? Instead of black and white, Pupa gives a new interpretation for modern and colourful polka dots trends. The golden packaging of Dot Shock collection looks glam and sophisticated at the same time.

With a brand new set of Pupa Dot Shock makeup kit in front of me, I can’t resist it and I can’t stop myself of not trying them. I applied Pupa Dot Shock colour gel on my nails. 001 Sugar Peach and 002 Fair Pink are matt nail polish while 136 Shock Fuchsia and 137 Fancy Red are glossy like glass effect on nails. Well, I could not tell which colours I like the most as I have different preference according to my mood. But I can tell what I like about the Dot Shock colour gel. It is easy to apply with a very smooth texture on my nail, it does not very runny but good enough to spread out. It dries fast as well!

Pupa also comes out with their unique compact palette filled with 5 essential highly pigmented eyeshadows in never-seen-before polka dots design for immediate and radiant look.Such innovative packaging right?

Pupa international makeup artist, Giorgio Forgani demonstrated how great their Dot Shock eyeshadow palette is during the event.

It works effortlessly on the model with the sensory quality of a cream for a liquid powder effect.

Makeup technique shared by Giorgio for spring/summer look with Dot Shock collection (using Spring Sunset eyeshadow colour):
1. Tonalize the central part of the eyelid with apricot shade.

2. Intensify the tail of the eye then go back into the crease using the dark brown colour with golden reflections.

3. Use the sand gold colour to blend the brown one up to the eyebrows.

4. Illuminate the tear duct with apricot gold shade.

5. Create a highlight below the eyebrow arch using ivory colour.

The silky melt on texture is result from the blendability and great colour performance of the eyeshadow powder.

Dot Shock blusher becomes my current craze and the most liked product among all. In short, it is my favourite of the series.

Dot Shock blusher is formulated with precious ultra-fine pearls which comes in a range of subtle pink and peach shades.I could mistake it as candy for its tempting look if place it at my table. Oh am I too hungry right now?

It brightens up the face for a fresh looking and naturally glowing complexion. Besides, put your nose closer to the product, it gives out a sweet fragrance with lovely enveloping feeling.
