第一道是鱼生,问厨师为何叫七彩,不是六彩,不是九彩,(我是问题学生 :P) 结果厨师的答案是因为盘上五颜六色,所以叫七彩咯!(当时我也真的相信他的话 XO)不过后来,我去网上搜寻时,才知道捞生多于人日食用,七彩缤纷的魚生有七彩灿烂的好意头,而捞起鱼生这个名称,又有了「风生水起」及「越捞越旺」的意头。
不过说真的我很喜欢鱼生这道传统料理,有好多不同的材料,其中占多数的是蔬菜,没经过任何烹调,可直接生吃即健康又可口!

这里提供的食物,全部都是halal 的,所以当天也请来了个马来人来试菜。他也向厨师提出了个问题,但厨师还是支支吾吾的,说红色是华人的颜色代表,所以就用红鸡鱼。其实红鸡鱼有‘红运鱼’之称,在新年可是最热门的海鱼之一,所谓鸿运当头,新年就是要个好意头啊!这道蒸红鸡鱼,肉感鲜美,一点腥味也没有哦!

用咸蛋来炒虾可是我第一次尝试。锅炒虾壳很脆口,咸蛋的咸味神奇地渗透进虾肉内,不论是直接吃还是剥壳吃,都是好味道!不过唯一本人要挑剔的是,虾煮得挺油的。
