食物述评:Foodpanda与部落客们齐聚O'Briens一同开斋

Foodpanda kicks off Ramadhan with bloggers in O'Briens I was recently treated to mouth-watering experience with foodpanda from O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe at its Midvalley Megamall outlet, in conjunction with Ramadan which is just around the corner. O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe is just located beside Jusco/ Aeon at the ground floor which is easy to find.

It was my first time to dine in here. I can tell you that I am not the person who will go for bread/sandwiches in a cafe for a meal as I think what is so different with my own made sandwiches at home compared with the one selling in the shop? After trying O'Briens Irish sandwiches, I found that I was wrong! First and foremost, I will make a short introduction about their shop.

O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe is a highly branded lifestyle chain cafe, well known for hand-cut sandwiches, freshly toasted wraps and soups. O'Briens uses only natural and premium ingredients and also sugar-free bread to prepare sandwiches as they believe customer deserves only the best.

Their crew is busy preparing the sandwiches for our food tasting session/dinner
The very first dish that we tasted was O'Briens Chicken Tripledecker. All of us at the table was happy and satisfy with this sandwich. The chicken crisp is crispy and tasty! I will recommend you all to order this when you are here for dining.

O'Briens Chicken Tripledecker  RM18.80 (recommended)
Ingredients: Toostie with chicken& chicken crisp, lettuce, cheddar cheese, red onion, coleslaw and tomato.

Second dish that we tasted was Chicken Slice and Cheddar Cheese on Shambo. One can opt for this if they do not like heavy tasted or baked meat.
Chicken Slice and Cheddar Cheese on Shambo RM 15.80 (recommended)
Ingredients: Toostie with fresh tomato, lettuce, red onion and honey mustard mayonnaise.

The menu in O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe was customized to satisfy every customer's needs. For non-meat eater/vegetarian, Sundried Tomato on Hot Ciabatta is always the best choice. However, this is not my favourite dish here perhaps I do not like the taste of basil pesto.
Sundried Tomato on Hot Ciabatta RM 15.80
Ingredients: Toostie with sundried tomato, fresh tomato, red onion, mozzarella cheese, roasted vegetables and basil pesto .

The soup came after we finished the first 3 dishes recommended by the restaurant. The soup did not become lumpy after it cold. I love mushroom soup and like to dip it with garlic bread!

During the blogger tasting event, everyone of us was allowed to order a drink. Coffee drinkers will delight on their coffee selection as O'Briens premium coffee are freshly ground and brewed in store with the coffee blend mixed in the style of the very finest Italian master roasters. I am not a coffee drinker, thus I ordered chocolate drink for him and ice lemon tea (in can) for myself to quench our thirst.

What's more, non-coffee drinkers can enjoy specialty teas, fresh fruit juices and refreshing and iced drinks.

My stomach was full after feeding it with all the exquisite sandwiches. After all, I just got to know that the main dish for the event was this- Curry Chicken Mayo Sandwich. By the time, I can not take in anymore food.

Curry Chicken Mayo Sandwich with Cashew Nut and Grapes RM 13.50
Ingredients: Curry chicken mayonnaise, cashew nut and grapes, cucumber, mixed leaves.

During Ramadhan month, O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe will be selling Curry Chicken Mayo Sandwich with Cashew Nut and Grapes and ice lemon tea at RM 16 per set. A la carte for RM 13.50.

Last but not least, thanks to foodpanda to organize the food tasting event for bloggers. I am quite enjoying the food as well as making some new blogger friends :)
