Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa @ Sibu Island, Johor

Anyone heard of Sibu Island? I believe most of you did not. This includes Malaysian and also specifically Johorian. I only knew about this place when I boarded here. There is less publicity with this place comparing with Langkawi, Redang, Pangkor, Tioman, and Rawa. This less known island is lying 12km off the east coast of Johor. To reach this place, one needs to take a boat from Tanjung Leman jetty which the ride is about 20 minutes.

The island is still surrounded by lush greenery. The view from the bridge leading to the island is breathtaking.

It took a while for us to reach the resort. The distance is near but the up and down hill along the way to the resort is tiring. If you want to have a staycation here, I suggest you guys to choose the garden view or sea view. Hilltop view....better not as you need to climb up with your luggage and down to the cafe to have your meal every time.

This is the villa we have. It is a garden view. Not too far away from the cafe. And it has a connecting door to the next room. What I can comment is the room quite spacious. There are coffee tables and chairs. But I don't like the floor tiles.

The washroom occupies 1/3 of the room size. You can have 3 persons in the toilet or more (doing own business) if you don't mind. There are natural lighting with the transparent sliding door with a pot plant placed outside.

What welcoming you when you enter the bathroom is the basin, bath tub at the right side, shower at the left side.

The only thing that I am not adapted here is the water. It smells like rusty steel. It is more obvious when you brush your teeth and gargle with the pipe water. Water is always the most troublesome problem to settle on an island. The manager told me that they draw the water from the underground and filter 2-3 times before use. So what could I say?

Not so much people on the island. The resort has orangish sands with rest chairs along the beach.

The sea view villa is a bit distant from each other. So one will not hear what other talking next door or I can say more privacy at the resort.

There is Discovery Scuba Diving program offered to hotel guests. The rate is around RM99 per hour in pool or RM150 for 2 hours in the sea water. Well, I think I will sign up for this for my next visit.

The resort offers spa service and also for those who play mahjong, you can rent the set at the reception counter.

The view from the lobby facing the sea.

The back view of the resort where the boat stops. Wondering how much the charge of the resort on this island? Here you go:
