PETRONAS Twin Towers Media Tour

Starting tomorrow, I will be travelling around again. Thus, I have to rush for the part 3 here. In my previous posts, I already mentioned PETRONAS Twin Towers for many times.

So this is how it looks during night time. PETRONAS Twin Towers are the tallest twin towers in the world, standing at a height of 452 meters above ground! The towers which were completed in 1996, are situated in the Kuala Lumpur City centre on the northern boundary of the Multimedia Super Corridor.

The towers are depicted through its outline, which resembles the letter "M" for Malaysia. The jagged outline subtly resembles one of Malaysia's famous traditional handicrafts – basket weaving – thus highlighting her strong cultural values.

The Towers house 29 double-decker high-speed passenger lifts, 6 heavy-duty service lifts and 4 executive lifts. There are 5 double-decker lifts take passengers directly to the Sky Lobby. Here, passengers take another lift to the upper zones.

The interior motifs are a reflection of local handicrafts and weaving patterns, while stainless steel and glass combine beautifully as Islamic patterns.

This is 42th floor. A floor that exclusively for royal families, PETRONAS workers and media!

This was my second time on skybridge.

I just got to know the skybridge is world's highest 2-storey bridge, scale 170 meters above ground!

skybridge at 42th floor

The triangle of the skybridge acts like a fulcrum that perfectly balances Malaysia's past and future, local values and global outlook, multi-cultural background and united 1Malaysia concept. With an upward-pointing arrow to depict growth and progress, the triangle also symbolises the Twin Towers' ideal location at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur golden triangle.

I was happy to make it here finally!

I was told that only visitors at 42th floors able to see the top of the towers through the hollow space at the centre of the skybridge!

Take a lift at 42th floor to 83th floor. Next, change another small lift up to 86th floor. This is where observation deck located. There are total 88 floors but no one is allowed to go to the top.

I just like the scene here. From here, we can see how is the top of the tower looks like compare to what I seen down there ^^

KL tower looks shorter when we observe it from here ^^

Visitors not only gain the holistic experience to visit the world's tallest twin buildings, to see the view from the skybridge at Level 41 and observation deck at Level 86, but also the chance to learn about the construction process, the Science & Technology of PETRONAS as well as knowing Malaysia better.
